Hello again…

The Traveling Ghost has long been an idea I’ve had since my early teens. I have always had a passion for traveling and for the strange and unusual.

Combining my passions with my love of journalism and writing seemed the right fit for me, thus this blog that started as a school project is now transitioning into an actual creative project.

I have been fortunate enough to visit 18 states so far and two places in Mexico. Since childhood my dad has packed us in the car and driven us all across the country for summer vacations and family reunions.

Driving from California to somewhere as far as Missouri may sound like insane idea in this century with the availability of planes but, for my family it was normal.

Driving offered the luxury of side adventures and exploring tourist traps of old that I have become so fond of to this day. Think “worlds largest buffalo” or giant balls of string.

I wanted to take this opportunity to just explain the direction I hope to take with this blog and have it be a creative outlet for me. I will also share my photography as most photos will be taken by me unless stated otherwise in captions.

I have always loved traveling but like many people I have always been a little short on cash being a working college student, and big on dreams which forced me to be very creative with budgets and trip planning.

Through my blog I hope to share the cool and sometimes creepy places I have been and how I did most of this on a small budget. I will also share trips I am planning for the future and daytrips around Southern California if you are a local like me.

So, if you’re curious to know where I have been, where I will go, and about all that is spooky, strange, and different I hope you’ll stick around!
